Peter's Family Drawing Table Approach
This is the system I've used in congregations for years to help children & families connect, have fun, and develop a sense of belonging.
The video above explains how I facilitate this space an use an "Animal Drawing Challenge" game as the engine driving our fun and community building.
An online version of this game (spin using the link provided) and a printable activity page may be found below.

To play our animal challenge game, I've used a spinning wheel app. However, I can see situations where it would be helpful to play the game using a printed activity page. Here's a version of that!

Here's an online version of my drawing challenge wheel. I usually use an app on my phone to spin.
How to play: Spin the wheel twice and draw a combination of the two animals! Get Unicorn + Shark? Draw a Unicorn Shark!
The version of the wheel linked above has the most successful combination of animals to be easy for young children but also have challenging combinations.
Some older kids will want to add more exotic animals like Lemurs and Pangolins but this undermines the design of the game which is intentionally LOW ANXIETY and fun!
HELP: Spin the wheel!
This online version of the wheel needs to be used periodically to keep it from expiring on the free website that hosts it. If you read this, give it a quick spin!

What to include on your wheel
Making your own wheel? Here's a good list to start with. These animals offer a range of animals that most children know and offer fun and creative combinations. Laughter, conversation, and associated community is the goal!
