Program Overview


Week 1:  Ministry Strategy for a Video First World 

We'll look at the dominance of social media video, its impact on how people learn, consume media, and make decisions, and the implications for your ministry.  An overview of the course and included strategies will be included.     

Week 2:  Video Production and Presentation

Focusing on videos you can produce using your computer webcam and smartphone, we'll cover video production and on-camera presentation best practices.     


Week 3: Powering Your Engagement Engine

We'll walk through my recommended strategy for using video to promote engagement in congregational life, whether that's 100% online or includes physical gatherings.  We'll focus on building excitement, interest and participation in worship services and small groups though you may expand to include other opportunities.    


Week 4: Building a Digital Path to Membership

We'll cover specific strategies for using video to support an online process for newcomers to connect with and join your congregation. In my trainings, I call this the "digital path to membership." Everything that has been part of your welcome, newcomer orientation, and intro class offerings on-site now needs to be online and available on-demand.    


Week 5: Advanced Strategy and Implementation

Our final session will be customized based on the progress, needs, and interests of participants.

 

How It Works

• Every Monday of our five-week program I'll release a new on-demand module in our course site.  
• Each module will include video presentations approximately 1 hour per module, handouts,  and a recommended video assignment.
•  Recorded Video assignments will be shared in our Video Ministry Academy Facebook group or completed by going LIVE in the group. 
• I will offer video feedback, coaching, and cheerleading along with others in the program.   
• Each Monday of the program I will go LIVE in our group to answer questions.
• Additional live sessions and opportunities may be added.  I've cleared the entire month of JUNE to support program participants.
