Hi UU Growth Lab friends!
The replay of our August 12, 2025 live session on Fall Planning for Growth via Zoom is available in our member area.
The focus was bringing a UU Growth Lab mindset to Fall congregational planning inlcuding:
- Keeping visitors and their needs in mind continually, not just in September.
- The value of having multiple pathways leading into connection, community and belonging.
- Associated communication strategy considerations.
I am filming our primary training synthesizing this content for you on Tuesday, August 19 and will have posted later in the week.
As always, a reminder that the live session is where I share an initial version of the training, see what's most helpful, address questions, guage how much we can work through in a reasonable period of time, and have associated strategy conversation.
All that is used to make our on-demand member training including video training (just me on camera), audio MP3 of training, takeaway summary notes, and transcript. Will let you know as soon as it is ready.
If you'd like to watch or explore the 2 hour-ish live replay, some tips below for navigating.
Navigating Video Replay:
Speed: Click the Gear Icon ⚙️ in the video playbar, click SPEED 1X and you'll be shown all the playback speed options.
Search Video: Click the CC icon for captions to open the captions menu. This includes an option to search the text of the captions and jump around the video.
Once you search for a word, like membership, it will display how many times that word appears. The word membership is said 18 times in this Zoom session.
Once you do the search, hit RETURN while still in the search bar and it will take you to the next time the word was said. If you click on that word where it is highlighted it will jump to that part of the video.
Arrow Keys: On my desktop, while playing a video, if I click the left or right arrow it will jump ahead or back a little bit. If I hold the left or right arrows down it will fast forward or reverse more rapidly.
