18. Turn Your YouTube Channel Into a Visitor Center
Most congregation YouTube channels are an unorganized archive of worship recordings titled by date. Very hard for visitors to navigate and explore.  Learn how to transform your channel into a 24/7 with your existing content, excerpts, and spotlight videos recorded during worship. June 2026 Releasing later this month

17. Evaluating UU Websites From a Visitor's Perspective
Your website is now the first visit and most congregation sites were built for members, not for the cautious stranger researching you from home. Learn how to see your site through a visitor's eyes and make targeted changes that turn curious explorers into confident visitors. May 2026

 16. Host Community Conversations
Your congregation already knows how to hold meaningful conversations. This training shows you how to open that capacity to the wider community and why this is an essential ministry! Learn how to design and host a public conversation event using AI as the template topic, creating natural pathways toward deeper engagement.
April 2026

15. Conversations That Grow Congregations Newcomers arrive differently today. They've done research online and prequalified themselves for membership. What they need next isn't a program; it's a conversation that delivers immediate connection and a sense that "This is going to work." Learn how to design intentional conversation into your welcome process so belonging happens by design, not by chance. March 2026

14. Collaborative Stewardship Culture Exhausting stewardship seasons are a design problem, not a commitment problem. Many try to pack the "meaning-making" process into the pledge process. That feels manipulative, not collaborative.  Learn how to use collaborative leadership feedback loops and shared leadership to build trust that makes giving feel natural. February 2026

13. Video for Thriving Congregations: 2026 Update Video strategy has shifted, and most congregations are making content without a clear framework for what to make or why. Learn exactly which videos your congregation needs, where they go, and how to turn what you're already recording into active membership development. January 2026

12. UU Growth Strategy Q&A Sometimes the most useful thing isn't another training. It's follow-up, questions, and feedback. I put out a call for end-of-the-congregational-year questions after 11 months of live sessions and on-demand training. Learn from the questions others are asking and leave with ideas on what to try next in the new year. December 2025

11. Paid Advertising and Marketing Strategy Most congregations are still using an outreach strategy built for a world that no longer exists — and their most motivated potential visitors are never finding them. Learn how to work with interest-based algorithms, test content before spending money, and build a strategy that actually moves people toward your congregation. November 2025

10. Belonging First and Religious Barrier Language Language your congregation uses comfortably — "faith formation," "chalice circle," "?????" — may be quietly signaling insider culture to the very people you hope to welcome. Learn how to evaluate your language through a visitor's eyes and make small, realistic shifts that help more people recognize there's a place for them here. October 2025

9. Small Group Ministry for Health, Growth and Impact Small group programs often start strong and then quietly drift — groups age in place, new people can't find their way in, and leaders burn out. Learn a complete framework for designing, launching, and sustaining groups that stay healthy, welcome newcomers, and keep creating space for belonging over time. September 2025

8. Fall Planning for Growth Fall is the highest-stakes season for newcomers. Without intentional planning, September's visitors are quietly gone by November. Learn the emotional dynamics of fall membership development and the specific relational shifts that turn first-time visitors into people who feel they belong. August 2025

7. Video Content for Fall Outreach and Membership Development If someone visits your website this week, can they feel the meaningful work your congregation is doing? Learn the videos I recommend making for fall outreach - First Time Visitor and Meet the Minister videos - and how they help move people exploring to say yes to a live visit! July 2025

6. Core Strategy Review and Integration Growth strategies work best when they work together. Many leaders encounter them one at a time and struggle to see the whole picture. Learn how digital hospitality, newcomer engagement, and small group development connect as a single system, and where to focus first in your congregation's specific situation. June 2025

5. New Algorithms, New Strategies: YouTube and Membership Development The platforms changed, the algorithms changed, and posting more is not the answer. Learn how interest-based discovery works, why YouTube is now a critical membership development tool, and how to build a digital outreach strategy that connects seekers to your congregation without dramatically increasing your workload. May 2025

4. Practical AI for Congregations Learn practical, no-tech-skills-required ways to use AI as a ministry partner for sermon development (not writing for you!), communications, small group design, and strategic thinking.  I believe understanding AI and using it prepares us to advocate, whether that is for, against, or a mix.  April 2025

3. Deepening Newcomer Engagement Most congregations are genuinely welcoming — but today's visitors often leave before that welcome becomes connection. Learn how the Four Layers of the Newcomer Experience shape whether visitors continue forward or quietly disappear, and how to strengthen each transition so no one falls through the cracks. March 2025

2. Adding Growth Groups to Small Group Ministries Your small group program may be healthy and well-loved — and still not growing, because most groups were never designed to welcome new people in. Learn the Intentional Growth Group model — how to design groups that expand naturally, develop leaders from within, and keep creating the conditions for belonging. February 2025

1. Building a Digital Path to Membership Most visitors research your congregation online before they ever show up. If your digital presence isn't ready to welcome them, they quietly move on without you ever knowing they were there. Learn what visitors are actually looking for, how to help them pre-qualify themselves for membership, and how to make your digital presence work as genuine hospitality. January 2025
