Creating a Collaborative Stewardship Culture

This February, in our UU Growth Lab live strategy session and on-demand training, we are focusing on creating a collaborative stewardship culture.
Our goal? To help you cultivate a culture of generosity that grows from shared purpose, shared leadership, and shared vision-casting. We're talking communication, vision-casting, and collaborative leadership!
Topic: Creating a Collaborative Stewardship Culture
Date: Tuesday, February 10, 2026
Time: 1:00 PM Eastern Time
Duration: Two hours, second hour is an optional discussion.
Participants: Members of the UU Growth Lab and our guests.
Instead of treating stewardship as a seasonal campaign, we’ll explore practical, year-round ways leaders can vision-cast, invite participation, and build trust across the congregation without burning out or abdicating leadership.
While I am not a stewardship consultant, I have deep experience with collaboration, communication, shared ministry models, and related congregational life dynamics.
How we lead, how we communicate, and the process we invite people into (or not) can radically enhance or undermine generosity. This session will share tips and strategies that come up in my work with leaders continually!
In my opening presentation, I'll share specific, practical communication and collaborative leadership strategies you can implement immediately. These can benefit both rapidly approaching stewardship campaigns and your year-round culture.
After presentation and Q&A, we'll open it up for UU Growth Lab community conversation on this topic.
